About Willie Mae Murphy
Welcome to my counseling practice!
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in private practice since 2016, with a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s from Skidmore College. I’m a Certified Level 2 Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and a certified provider of Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I also hold additional certification in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) through my partnership with Journey Clinical.
My trauma-informed, integrative approach draws from IFS, Psychodynamic and Attachment theories, Mindfulness, CBT, and Narrative Therapy. I tailor our work to meet your unique needs, supporting deep healing and lasting change.
Clients describe my style as warm, kind, and playful. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where every part of you is welcome—including the parts that feel stuck, hidden, or in pain. I believe these parts often carry strength and wisdom that can guide healing.
Originally from California, I’ve lived in New York for over 30 years. I’m a white, cisgender (she/her) clinician and strive to create an inclusive, affirming space where all aspects of your identity can be seen and honored.
Licensed in New York and New Jersey.
